WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers.

Some may need such precautions, but the delay may become frustrating in some scenarios. Pedal Commander is the easiest and most effective solution for Cadillac CTS drivers who want power instantly.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander.

The pedal commander works amazing like wow difference only thing with my cadillac is if I use any kind of sport mode the transmission gets confused on shifts and sometimes hesitates to shift from 1rst to 2nd but with out the pedal commander or on a lower setting no flaws at all so not sure about that. I can't even drive the car in sport plus just the smallest push of the gas pedal you better hang on because the car is taking off on you and fast lol.

I own two. One for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator diesel and one for my 2012 CTS Coupe. There is zero lag time from punching the accelerator to launch. A friend of m8ine compared the response to that of his Tesla S. Once the accelerator is press, there is zero lag time. Zoom you're gone.

I heard about Pedal Commander watching Motor Trend TV (Four Wheeler and Truck U) and I did some research. I was always a tad unhappy with my throttle response on my Porsche 987 and also my CTS. I ordered and installed on the 987 first and I could not believe the difference. Immediate head snapping response in "sport" mode. So I decided to upgrade my daily driver, the CTS coupe. Same exact results on the CTS as with the 987... immediate, crisp positive response and even with only a 3.6 in the CTS it made a huge difference. I am not easily impressed but I am very impressed with the Pedal Commander. 2 cars, one American one European and same results in each! Could not be happier! Bought this for my 2005 Cadillac STS 4.6L AWD. I have a lag in throttle response and also stumbling. This item took care of the lag. Major difference in throttle response. I was hoping it would also help with the stumbling that happens with the throttle. It did not help with that problem.

Far better than I expected. Took 15 minutes to install. I immediately saw an increase in low end performance. The sport+ made the car instantly responsive.As for gas mileage, I drive the same back road route every day to work at the same speed... Gas mileage was pretty meh at 20.7 average. This has me doing over 25 mpg in city mode. A complete surprise and totally worth it.

Easy install you must wait for car computer to timeout before disconnecting TPS and installing PC. Instructions call for 5 mins 20 mins minimum and all is well immediately feel the difference.

I was actually looking for my 2017 ATS COUP 2.0 and this one came up and the connectors did fit. It arrived the next day and I had it installed in a few minutes. WOW!!! It made the car come alive. It is alot quicker with no hesitation and smoother shifting. On a long Calif. Coastal trip my mileage went from 23 to 32 average mpg and it is set @ Sport 1 mode. The most fun I had on my trip was driving the ATS. I have put around 3000 miles with it and have no issues. I highly recommend it.

Purchased the Pedal Commander for my 2010 Cadillac CTS, and must admit I was a non-believer. But WoW Pedal Commander is the real deal, i run City mode +3 and its more than enough to push my CTS 324 HP. I plan on adding a Trifecta Tune next and then a Magnaflow exhaust system. Get 1, trust me

This Pedal Commander is great... ECO mode is ok.. but city mode... be ready!! because your truck will take off. I have an 07 Escalade on 28s with the 6.2 motor. Wasn’t slow or nothing. Once I installed the pedal commander it had my wheels turning like i was in a R/T challenger. I recommend this product if you don’t have too many mods on your whip. If you do add a tuner for wheel size etc. Also one of my buddies brought him one last week because of mine.

I was a bit skeptical, but this product blows my mind, I can't believe the acceleration my CTSV has now. The low end is just INSTANT. I use "city" mode to cruise around, but I open up "sport+" for the track, both 1/4 mile and auto-x. The difference is just night and day, and it's a BLAST to drive!Excellent customer service as well, they were fast to answer any questions or concerns I had. I'll be buying another one for my husbands car in the future.
