The ultimate solution to eliminate that gas pedal delay is the Pedal Commander® Throttle Response Controller. Pedal Commander® is a simple-to-install and effective aftermarket mod that removes the throttle lag, enabling your car to deliver its power instantly. WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

The Lexus IS uses an electronic throttle control system (ETC), which is calibrated with emissions and efficiency as priorities. This calibration introduces a delay between your pedal input and the engine's response. This is called throttle lag, and in a sports sedan, it's frustrating.

The Pedal Commander® throttle response controller eliminates the Lexus IS’s throttle lag by remapping the restrictive factory throttle signal. You get a sharp gas pedal response, and with 4 modes and 36 settings, you can tune the response to match your driving style.

HOW DOES PEDAL COMMANDER® IMPROVE THE LEXUS IS?

The Pedal Commander® throttle response controller plugs into the Lexus IS's gas pedal position sensor. It intercepts the factory signal and remaps it with vehicle-specific software to remove the factory restrictions. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Literally, hooks up in 5 minutes. At least on my Lexus is300 fsport it does. Takes longer to create an account on my phone for it (not a bad thing). User friendly app, easy to switch modes. HUGE difference! No acceleration lag and my favorite is Sport+ Mode +5 and putting my car in sport mode itself... WOW!! Was planning on tunning my car but not anymore. Gave me everything I was looking for. I know people say it doesn't add HP but, it sure feels like it! Pedal and acceleration feel is amazing.

Purchased a Pedal Commander for my Toyota 4runner...plugged it up, and IMMEDIATELY felt the difference. Its no gimmick, its the real deal. You will be surprised how much your vehicle was lagging, BEFORE you installed the Pedal Commander, because youre used to driving it that way. Awesome product! Just installed it and it was the easiest mod I have done to my Lexus IS300. It only too 5-10 minutes. When I reprogrammed my OBD, I had a problem with the response of my throttle due to not being able to take It to a dyno company. Has learned a little bit but this thing tool all of it away and it's better than when I bought it. Very happy with it have not tested the eco mode yet to see the 20% increase promised but highly doubt it will as take-offs are very responsive and will eat that 20% guaranteed eco mode. I still would recommend getting one for a sports car. Still have some playing to do with it and may update this post later. I give it an A+ on the throttle responsiveness and it an extra mode(sport+) as mine didn't have it. It comes with the comander unit with a mounting braket,alcohol pad for mounting, 2 tie wraps to keep it nice and neat.

The stock Lexus pedal acceleration delay is super sluggish, and was very disappointed with the car because of that. I knew the car had potential but the pedal delay was getting in the way of it. Don’t believe what other 1-3 star reviews. They don’t know how to configure the commander. That’s all, or bought the wrong one. This Pedal commander come with diff specs and other commanders. So you have to pick the right one or read before purchase. Mine works just great. Remember it doesn’t make your car faster! It makes your throttle more sensitive even set to sports mode. Throttle response may differ if you set your mode on eco, city ect.

Awesome as Lexus will throw codes everywhere with an intake.....so get a PC as it "feels" like you are in Sport + all the time. With a Lexus, stock peddle is sluggish, not anymore!

My wife had gotten rid of her BMW M2 and replaced it w/ a Lexus IS300. We were not expecting the same performance but the Lexus just felt slow and couldn't get out of its own way. She wanted to get rid of it but we want the reliability it brings so I looked at other options. Decided to pick up a PC and give it a shot. Super easy install, took less than 5 minutes. I initially put it on Sport+2 and she said it felt zippier and was happy! I switched it over to sport plus +3 and although not her M2, it revved hard to redline under full throttle and left us both with wide grins. Just a different car now having installed the PC. I liked it so much I ordered another for my new C8 Corvette. Waiting for that to arrive and will post a review on it. Really happy I purchased this and have been telling a lot of people about it.
